After visiting the Rab booth at the ISPO trade show in Munich two weeks ago, Rab and I concluded that we were not done yet. Today I had a super 👌🏻 interesting meeting with Gerard Ritter (the very tall guy) and Patrick Baars (quite tall too) about new gear and materials for 2024. The new Rab Mythic G downjacket in comparison to the Rab Cirrus Ultra that is filled with the promising PrimaLoft ThermoPlume looks very interesting. Same for the Rab Namche waterproof and breathable jacket that uses the new Gore-Tex ePE membrane. And next to that we discussed Rab’s TILT technology, a factory visit in early spring and many more is to follow. It’s going to be an interesting year😀.

Hi YouTube friends,

In between the frenzy of all things to do before the year ends, I had a spare moment yesterday and experimented with some new editing gimmicks. Thank you so much for the support this year ❤️👍🙏!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 😄.

Enjoy the Outdoors and Stay Safe!

Cheers,
Gijs

Hi YouTube family! 👋

I am on the bandwagon of making some important decisions for ‘22 🎆and I need some help. So in the coming weeks I am going to bother you with questions to help me find focus.

Thing is: I love making 🎥 YouTube 🎞 videos more than writing articles 📝 and putting them on the outdoorguru.com website. But… I feel I have to maintain the website too. The website is very time consuming and if I want to make more 🎦▶️ videos it would be smart to change the website into a less time consuming concept. So… a few questions that might help me make my choices. See the first poll in my next post.

Many thanks 🙏 for the support and help!

Hi Friends,

I do almost everything to create a video by myself: testing, shooting and editing. That I do know but... there is something I need your advice on and I hope you can help me find direction in the world of merchandise.

Cheers,

Gijs

Two days of hard work and the Final Cut Pro X Library of the update video I am doing crashed. I tried everything but I'll have to start all over again with the edit. Bugger!

Hi Friends,

The review on the DJI Pocket 2 has been very well recieved by all of you and many thanks for all your likes, comments and questions. Since the review, DJI released - of course - some firmware updates. At the moment I am working on the DJI P2 Update video and will discuss the latest update, some things I did not talk about in the first video and on my experience that I have with the P2 since the review. If you have any topics or questions: don't hesitate to ask and I will try to answer them.

Hi friends,

You know this feeling... something is wrong and you can't see what it is? Well Al Beklik gets the honour to make me see what was wrong with the video about 'What is waterproof': the fabric is the wrong way around in the Suter tester. Why? Don’t ask me because I do know that the pressure should be on the outer fabric and not on the inside of the jacket. Would't make sense.. Maybe a bit much on my plate at the moment. So I’ll be doing it al over again and assume the second always is better. And I can put a few things in it I forgot anyway ;-). And to Al: Thanks!

Enjoy the outdoors and Stay Safe!

I hope you will post your comments again when it is online ;-)

Hi Folks! Thank you so much for all your sweet comments on the video and Give Away I did on the Øyo Vikingøks . I just recorded the last episode of The Campfire Sessions that is dedicated to the Scandinavian Outdoor Awards Fall Winter 21/22 and at the end of that video I announce who wins the Øyo Vikingøks. Hope you tune in 🙏. Cheers, Gijs
