This week we visit the Caledonian Railway at Brechin.

The railway runs steam and diesel hauled trains along the preserved 4 mile branch line between the town of Brechin in Angus and the countryside station at Bridge of Dun which dates back to 1848. Bridge of Dun station was on the former main Perth to Aberdeen Caledonian railway line and used to receive Royal Trains.

We have two videos, the first featuring the restored station buildings and history of the line including a return trip behind a Class 27 (Diesel Saturday) and the second featuring a trip behind a steam locomotive (Steam Sunday). Lots of action as the locos change ends at both stations.

Steam Sunday = https://youtu.be/u9NDDIfo-b0

Next week we visit the Inverness Model Railway Exhibition for the first time.

Wow, we made it! Thanks so much to all our loyal subscribers as we've just passed the YouTube threshold of 1,000 subs.

Of course a BIG thanks goes to all the model railway layout designers, builders and operators and the exhibition organisers without whom we wouldn't have so much great content to bring you every week. Everyone we meet at shows is always so friendly and supportive - it's a great hobby!

As we head into the autumn peak season for model railway shows we are planning to visit some shows we've not been to before, as well as the usual return visits, and there will also be a few heritage railway videos coming up soon as well.

Thanks again for being with us, whether you joined recently or have been with us since the start over 18 months ago - we really do appreciate every one of you!

Let's go and watch some trains .....
