And just like that⌠Meadowlark has come to an end.
We achieved some amazing things in the last 10 years. But what the world didnât see is the beautiful friendship woven into all of the achievements & milestones. There are so many times we could've given up, but it was our friendship & our love of songwriting that kept us going.
What weâll miss more than anything is the drives back from gigs/recording, the needlessly deep chats, screaming to Polyenso and Luna, portmanteauâing left & right, taking jokes way too fucking far, wine walks, making nachitas, writing lyrics with ridiculous words on rhymezone, obsessing over our own music, naming our instruments (RIP Glok Wan Spiel, Karen, Chester, Amp West), and just generally hanging out. We had such a laugh.
Thank you to everyone whoâs been involved with us from the very beginning! Iâm sure Iâm forgetting a tonne of people and Iâm sorry in advance but what I need you to take away from this is that weâre so, so grateful for the past decade. Weâve lived the dream. Thank you for having us.

Here is the first of 3 đđź It felt so special to have him there, and because we know and love him - opening up and sharing the depths of our souls and what this album means felt beautifully easy.

Good morning friends! Our new song âBrainwashedâ is out today. It's about being trapped in the idea and belief that we need a partner, success, money etc to be happy and fulfilled; that happiness is outside of us. But it's a lie. And the Universe will give us these things to lose over and over again to remind us of this lie. To be human is to be brainwashed to some extent. We have everything we need to be happy right here, right now! The present moment is all we have. Everything else fades away either sooner or later. It can be a scary thought or the most liberating one.
All good and well knowing this with your head of course... but putting it into practise is a different ball game. I'm still playing! Every time i think i've figured it out, I lose sight all over again. It's a constant cycle of forgetting and remembering.
