Have you ever pondered the question, "What is a scientist, after all?" Jacques Cousteau encapsulated it beautifully with his famous words: "It is a curious man looking through a keyhole, the keyhole of nature, trying to know what's going on."
I was born in 1966.
In 1993, I did my first scuba dive in Cayo Limón in Belize. Since 1996, I've participated in underwater cleanups. In 2005, I collaborated on deploying one of the first artificial reef balls in a Marine Protected Area in El Salvador, I have done ghost fishing nets. With Marlón Escamilla I contributed to the first underwater archaeology thesis in El Salvador, designed a bathymetry survey method to search for signs of a submerged ancient Maya pyramid in Lake Güija.
I have worked with humpback whales.
I have over 5000 dives throughout 30 years in the diving industry. I'm a Commercial Diver, Scuba and EFR instructor, OshAcademy Safety Advisor and I have one or two other charms under my sleeve. I speak Spanish, English, and Italian.
