Hello, My name is Ed and I love finding the lost and forgotten items of the past.
One mans rubbish is another mans treasure, so the saying goes, and it is true! People threw away and lost all sorts of lovely things, all there just waiting to be rediscovered.
I have always enjoyed finding things that have not been held for many years, with a combination of metal detecting, bottle digging and mudlarking it still surprises me what can be found. Unfortunately a lot of the time things are broken but I am always thinking of ways to make them useful again. Every piece is unique with its own little scuffs and scrapes that tell its story and even the crude manufacturing techniques of over 100 years ago giving the glass fascinating swirls, colours and air bubbles.
