I will be Live Streaming a COUNTDOWN concert solo piano set, on New Year’s Eve for Blue Note New York, that will be a BENEFIT concert for Blue Note New York. It will be live streamed at 11PM, on December 31st New York Time (EST) to celebrate the new year.
Blue Note New York has been a very important place for me since the beginning of my career and I have been looking for ways to support them under these very challenging circumstances. 2020 has been a very tough year for everyone, it was the year of "DO NOT DO THIS, DO NOT GO THERE" and I am sure everyone is tired of hearing that. It is not possible to do concerts in New York City right now, so I came up with an idea to welcome the new year. I am going to do a very special countdown using time difference, playing live from Tokyo, for New York.
I will ask the Japanese audience to join me in person at Blue Note Tokyo to celebrate this special countdown for New York (EST) Time. I will donate my performance and all proceeds from the show will be donated to Blue Note New York. I prepared a special solo piano set for this occasion, and I will play for everyone who can be a part of it. I strongly believe that music is the food for the soul of music lovers, that can welcome the new year with power.
