$299!! That's pretty wild, really didn't think ELEGOO would go that low on their newest FDM 3D printer.
The Centauri Carbon is a core XY printer with most of the same features as the P1S. At this price point it slots in between the Bambu Lab A1 and A1 mini. That's a very attractive price point to be getting into an enclosed core xy printer that can print carbon filled filaments.

What do you think of the price? Is the lack of multicolor a deal breaker for you?

This is a 3D boat, don't use it to calibrate your printer.
Incredibly short print time of only 39m38s

I get a question like the one in the picture every couple of weeks. Asking how to get as many downloads as possible on MakerWorld in order to earn points and redeem them for Bambu Lab gift cards.
Here is a list of things that I've noticed work:
1) The model is fully 3D printable, no additional hardware required.
People don't want to have to order additional hardware to assemble their printed parts. They want to take it straight off the build plate and be ready to go.
2) Take good pictures of the final print, a GIF is even better.
Part of this process is "selling" your creation. Good pictures go a long way in convincing someone to download and print your models. I've found that a GIF as the main image is even better, it shows the parts in action.
3) Smaller parts will get more downloads.
Users don't need to use a bunch of filament or time to print the part.
It's much easier to commit to a 50g part that will take 1 hour VS a 500g part that will take 10 hours.
4) "Fun" prints get more downloads than functional parts.
Functional parts designed for specific devices or problems usually only apply to a small portion of the people in the 3D printing community. "Fun/Fidget" parts can be used by everyone and usually look more interesting in the cover photo/GIF. I'm much prouder of the functional parts I've designed but unfortunately the "Fun" prints get the downloads.
These are obviously broad statements and there are tons of designs that break these "rules" but if you're just starting out they can be something to consider when uploading with the only intention of earning as many points as possible.
Bonus Tips: Design for 3D printability and create reliable print profiles. People will give you a hard time for failed prints and your print profile rating will reflect that.

Prusa Research just announced their newest 3D Printer. The HT90, capable of high temperature printing with an actively heated chamber that can maintain 90°C. The price being thrown around is between $10-12,000 USD.
What do you guys think? Will this be worth nearly 10 X1-Carbon Combos? OR 14 P1S Combos?

Should Prusa fanboys move to the dark side of 3D printing?
