For those of you that don't follow me on social media, this weekend I've finally done it and made my way to the Nurburgring and needless to say, it was epic! I captured a lot of content, so keep your eyes peeled!

Today was an interesting day as I drove a small, eclectic mix of cars at the SMMT Regional Day. As you can see, I drove the facelifted Kia Picanto, the raucous Lotus Emira and the intriguing MG Cyberster - videos coming soon 👍🏽.

Relight my fire: It's been a minute, hasn't it? I'm reigniting my new car reviews with the brand new @suzukicarsuk #swift, resplendent in 'Flame Orange'. As with previous versions of the Swift, the latest version brings competitive kit and good value in a compact shell (the new car has roughly the same dimensions of its predecessor).

It makes use of a 1.2 3 cylinder petrol using a mild hybrid system, offering a modest 82hp with 83Nm of torque. Performance obviously isn't the focus of this car, but Suzuki claim the Swift can achieve 64.2mpg on a combined run. Speaking of which, my main focus will be fuel economy as I'll be seeing how far I can go on one tank. #carobsession

Tonight I did something a little bit different. My mother-in-law wanted an oil and filter change before she takes her Jazz on a long weekend away and I quite fancied working on something different. Compared to two other Jazzes(?) we've had in the workshop this week, this is definitely a lot less crusty underneath!

I checked the car over the other week and found the offside rear wheel is binding a bit, so I made sure the caliper piston wound back correctly (it did) and I re-greased the sliders so this should improve the issue.

No video to follow as I was doing this after work and didn't want the process of filming to slow me down, but if I need to do any other work on the car, I'll film it where possible.

Tomorrow I have a busy day as I'm doing what should be the last bits on Bella, replacing the front tyres on Leo and regassing the air con on Monique.

I would also like to give Bella a good clean, but that might need to wait for another time.... I will try and do some form of filming tomorrow, but it's going to be a busy one and I want to get as much done as possible.

Holy revival Batman!

In the first in what feels like forever (first time this year if I'm not mistaken) I'll be getting a press car. More specifically, it's the new Suzuki Swift. I won't be doing a traditional review, but I'll be doing a real world fuel economy test and possibly some other content.

Is there anything in particular you'd like to see?

Some of you have mentioned the very ropey bump stops on Bella in the modifications video - well, you'll be pleased to know I've got some new ones!

The question is, any interest in a video of me fitting them? I doubt it, but you never know!
