Karnataka HC orders status quo to be maintained at Shivaram Karanth Layout
This order comes shortly after an announcement by the state government that the Bangalore Development Authority would start receiving allotment applications from January 25.

BENGALURU: The much-awaited allotment of sites at Dr Shivarama Karanth Layout will begin on January 25 with the invitation of applications.
Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on Wednesday said 10,000 sites will be opened for the public, while 9,500 sites will be earmarked for farmers who have surrendered their land for the layout. The cost has been fixed at Rs 4,900 per square foot.

Price announced for Shivaram Karanth Layout today. Rs.3650/sq ft for sites of dimension 20x30, 30x40 and rest of the dimensions (bigger dimensions like 60x40, 50x80 etc) will be priced at 4900/sq ft.
