⚫The laser tube is the main element of the CO2 laser machine, in which the laser beam is induced. The system of mirrors ensures that it enters the laser head, and then, with the help of a lens, it can be focused and exits from the nozzle.
🟡If the manufacturer claims that the service life of the tube is about 2000 - 3000 hours, then by simple calculations it can be established that the laser tube will work for about 6-10 months.
🔴CO2 laser tubes can have a wide variety of power. It can vary from 15W to 200W.

Leather thickness varies from 0,4 to 6 mm and depends on the features of the animal and methods of leather working. Thin leather up to 2 mm is usually used to make backings, cardholders, and book covers. Purses, sheaths, holsters are made from 2-3 mm leather. 3-4 mm leather is used for bags, 4 mm for suitcases, and the thickest leather - for belts.

🟡Features of welding different materials
Each metal has its own set of characteristics that should be taken into account when welding with the laser beam welding machine.

❗Note: before laser beam welding, it is recommended to pre-clean the material. This is especially true for those metals that are prone to corrosion. The cleaning can be done with a usual stainless brush.
⭕Titanium
To weld parts from titanium, it is recommended to pre-clean the material. For example, by sandblasting. Then, it is advisable to etch, wash, and treat the metal with helium.
⭕Aluminum
The metal is prone to oxidation and releasing volatile elements. That is why, it is recommended to etch it and treat it with a hand scraper.
⭕Galvanized steel
Such a metal type as well as brass and other zinc-containing alloys should not be welded with a handheld laser machine. This is due to the release of hazardous volatiles. Such treatment is possible, but a very powerful exhaust system is required.
