Probably one of my favorite parts of the show. Definitely had a blast editing this piece together and here's why: I needed to hunt for unused footage to fill a gap between commercial breaks in the second to last episode. I knew the final episode would be mostly playoff-focused. So I just went through every single tape from the last few weeks of the regular season. This stuff was after the big ejection, the suspension, the brawl, etc., and befor the playoffs. So, sort of a dead spot in the season, or so I thought. I soon found out there was some really funny/weird stuff that we hadn't used! watch video on watch page

Two former fourth round picks battling it out in the South Coast League. The camera work on this at-bat is great stuff. It's not easy to cover an entire at-bat with one camera -- especially when we were just trying to pick up some shots of Gamble. We didn't necessarily want or need coverage of the entire at-bat. But we got it and it looks great, nearly two decades later. Definitely looks like the work of @BillWintersCine watch video on watch page

Just added this to the channel description: "Fans - tag your minor league and indy ball videos with #p4p for a chance to be featured on the Playing for Peanuts reboot!"
More info on the reboot soon... In the meantime, enjoy this discarded (but hilarious) logo image that was considered for the uncensored DVD box set.

This is another one of those moments that get overshadowed by the more well-known clips from the show. At the time — Opening Day — it really felt like THIS was going to be the funniest/weirdest thing in the show. How often do you see a skydiver crash? Little did we know, this was just the beginning of a wild season and this funny/weird moment would be overshadowed by dozens of other key events in the short-lived South Coast League of Professional Baseball. watch video on watch page
