Having grown up in a musical household in Rockville, Maryland, Lauren began her musical career studying classical piano and voice.
She has a degree in vocal performance from the University of Denver. With interest in all genres, Lauren is passionate about teaching fundamental techniques for the voice, including pedagogy, so that any student can reach their desired vocal sound without causing damage to their voice.
Lauren is currently performing with local Denver chamber choir, Cantare Montibus, and indie-rock band, Lu Lagoon, of which she has toured the west and east coast with. She has extensive knowledge on writing music of all styles, though she mainly writes in the folk genre.
