For the past week or so I've been getting a great influx of new subscribers. Welcome aboard, everyone!
Alongside Alternate History of Southern Africa, I recommend you to watch my fantasy world series Story of Vabevert; a story about underground civilisations; some of which even live in a massive geode!
Besides the creative worldbuilding (the intelligent beings are amoeba-like creatures living inside a snail-like shell), the story is something I am very proud of. A story about amoeba-like creatures made two people cry. Be sure to give it a watch some day! https://youtu.be/hOc2cQD-Fio

Andean civilisations and cultures - circa 1000 AD.
If you'd like to find out more about this alternate historical setting, check out the other announcements on my Youtube Community page.
This will be the initial map of my new huge videomapping project called... Alternate History of... uhh... I haven't thought of a proper name yet. I have to think of a name which will attract an audience because I can't just call it "Alternate History of Post-Wari and Post-Tiwanaku Andean Civilisations". I'll probably include the Incas in the title despite them coming on stage four hundred or so years later. C'est la vie.
I haven't designed the textboxes yet. I'll probably include the most prominent states/cultures in them. What I am afraid of the most is viewers getting overwhelmed by the map at the beginning which will make them quit watching the video. I will have to make a proper introduction to the setting to avoid that scenario.

This evening I've had a huge burst of motivation to do research about the Andean civilisations and cultures circa 1000 AD. Here's what I had sketched so far. Any comments and corrections are welcome!
As you can see, I differentiated two kinds of cities/sites: functioning cities and ruins (three dots). Ruins would mark recently-abandoned cities/sites whose urban activities ceased to exist, but its population either lives among the ruins or in villages that surround the area. Some cities will become ruins (especially early on), while some ruins could become cities yet again such as (Chiclayo) which got abandoned by the end of the Wari state and then repopulated with the rise of the Sican Culture. Using the liberties of alternate history, I might make some ruins turn into functioning cities again.
I will be working on modern-day Bolivia tomorrow. The Tiwanaku state there still persists, but it will unfortunately meet its demise in the next one hundred years or so.

The interest for southern African cultures and history leaving my body the moment I move on to the Andean region.

Throughout this summer I had been thinking about what new large-scale videomapping project I should work on during the upcoming autumn and winter months. I had three general ideas: crusaders in West Africa, Incas, and industrialised pre-colonial Indian states.
I've settled for a video about the Andean civilisations (particularly the ones of Quechua people) with one crucial non-temporal "point" of divergence:
In the video's timeline, Native American peoples were adapted to Old World diseases.
European conquests and colonisation will still happen in the Americas, but their processes and consequences might greatly vary due to the aforementioned crucial circumstances.
For now, the starting year of the video will be ~1000 AD, the rough time period which marked the collapse of the Wari state, often considered to be the first empire of South America, which established the groundworks for all future native states and empires to come (including the Incas).
As you can see, the northern direction of the map is to the left. The map looks much better that way rather than in the regular northwards orientation due to the N-S elongation of the Andes and the landmass in general.
I might incorporate this video into the larger timeline of my works. Perhaps it will share a universe with Alternate History of Southern Africa in which the Arab conquests never happened, India industrialised parallel to Europe in the 18th/19th centuries, and perhaps the Chinese colonised a portion of America for the, like, 4th time in my channel's history.
I will probably make two videos: a full video and an "Every Year" video which will be less than ten minutes long.
I still don't know much about the region as well as its history and culture, so if anyone has any interesting and informative material about the Andean civilisations please forward them to me so I can become more knowledgable about the setting and thus be able to come up with interesting ideas!

Be sure to post a comment below the video to let me know what you think of it! It boosts the algorithm and enables me to improve the series. I'm particularly interested in what you think about the scenes of The Hunt.

Greetings, everyone! My name is Cresium, a student of environmental sciences from Croatia who likes to make alternate histories and fantasy worlds!
My name derives from Cres (the largest island in Croatia. I do not live on it.) + ium. Any similarities to the element cesium are accidental.
