So here's a not-April Fools' joke.
Jacket DIO is actually finished. The footage in the video is 100% real; check my replays if you don't think so. However, I don't have the authority to actually release the IPS patch for it. So, the release will have to wait.
Why have I been withholding the ROM for this many years?
Originally, when the Jacket DIO spritemod was made, there was one problem with it: it would desync when playing online. This meant that if you were using the spritemod and your opponent was using the default game, at some point, the two games would desync and both of you would be playing different matches. The easiest way to tell if desync occurs is if the stage you're playing on is different than your opponent's. The ROM cannot possibly be released in this state, so it was only available to a select few individuals, including myself.
Consequently, this meant that all spritemods that were made at the time would desync during online play. This is why using spritemodded games was not encouraged since this would cause confusion between those playing with spritemods and those that did not.
What makes this Jacket DIO ROM so special?
This ROM does not desync during online play. This was tested during a 4 and a half-hour session with GaryButternubs. With this being a success, this would raise the bar for every subsequent spritemod that gets made. Spritemods will be expected to not desync online. So, this ROM is a very huge deal and would inevitably turn spritemodding on its head. I'm just not authorized to release it.

OK so I bamboozled you on April 1 (the only timezone that matters is GMT-12. It was still April 1 at 3 PM on Baker Island when I uploaded that video, and it was April 1 at 11 PM anyway where I'm currently residing).
But I've got an idea for a series that you might enjoy. I will start soon.
