'Vastu' is derived from the verb (Vas), to dwell. Hence, the term 'Vastu' means, the place of residence. 'Vastu Shastra' refers to the 'Science of Habitation'.
It is an art of balancing all the three pillars of Vastu :
1). Eight Directions (Disha) (East, West, North, South, NorthEast, NorthWest, SouthEast and SouthWest).
2). Five Elements (Panchmahabhutas) namely Earth (Prithvi), Water (Jal), Wind (Vayu), Fire (Agni), Ether (Akash).
3). Two natural streams of Energy (Urja) namely, East & North.
'Vastu Wise' is an effort to make this ancient wisdom of 'Vastu' available for all, in a way that is easy to comprehend and apply.
