This might have been clear already to Bionicle fans, but the background for the Gali video was built on a giant map of Mata Nui set to the 1/10 scale Boxturret argues for in the linked post below.
Apart from just being more accurate, I liked the idea that a Bionicle fan could watch the video and be able to get their bearings, point north, or locate places like the Fau Swamp, that small island off Ko-Wahi ect.

PC was out of action for a while but I'm back on track to get one video out soon and another teaser out soon after that.
I'm also gonna try to avoid doing too much VFX-heavy stuff (mainly water) after these because there's usually a biblical amount of testing/playblasting/rendering time involved and tbh I've had kinda mixed results to show for it

Final render (probably) for the first shot of this Gali video. The rest of it still needs a bit of tweaking but I'm gonna try to power through cause I've been taking way too long with it, and I've also learned that I would either be a Ta, Po, or Le Matoran because water is definitely my weakness

Just wanted to explain some of the fanfic lore stuff in the Self-Starter video. That Rahkshi is made from a hybrid of the Xi/Panrahk and shapeshifter Kraata (the latter of which people cleverly picked up on). In order to fit with established lore, I figured it should be the case that a hybrid Kraata is both resource-intensive and often wasteful to create (they'd only live for a day and their powers would be unstable, hence the on-and-off use of the fragmentation powers), so it wouldn't be worth the effort to make one unless you were lucky enough to have the wherewithal and had a good excuse to do so. In this case, someone was trying to break out of that prison, and this just happened to be their best option because of the rare materials around them.
The three Matoran are built like 01-02 Matoran/Tohunga because they have to live in that pit and it just deteriorates them like that over time. I figure they'd have to be studying Krana powers in there and somehow unable to leave the place because of it. Tahu would be on the scene having late received intelligence of an imminent breakout at the prison, and of course he would be also separated from the other Nuva at the time (my headcanon keeps them in their Nuva forms even after the Bob Thompson years). So when he lowers the Krana Bo into the pit, those three Matoran use their research/abilities to manipulate its powers and make its targets blinded by sunlight rather than sighted in darkness which is why those streaks of energy cause all the Tahnok to veer off course.
This is all more of a fanfic-type explanation to make sense of the video rather than a proper fanfic in itself. Basically I decided the whole thing should be about someone's prison breakout and Tahu's attempt to stave off the initial devastation caused by it. I do want to do more Bionicle videos, but probably on some other story rather than continuing with this one.
