It's been quiet from me for a while now, on the musical front. A lot is happening, and has been for - I guess - three years now. And all the while I've been plaguing myself with the fact that I have too much music that is lying around almost finished (or maybe it is finished, depending in who you ask). I've never been fond of puzzling around with tunes that don't work themselves out, I enjoy a 'stream-of-consciouscness' approach the most, so when a song process stalls I go crazy. So, now I just have to release these songs. The cover is from my time in Drittmaskin, and these songs were also written and in that time, from 2020 to 2023. Some of them started as Ideas for the band, and as I let myself drift alng with the idea I realized that they weren't fitting to the band, although in my idea of the band every idea was allowed.
I'm curious how a versed black metal listener would take these songs, cause that's what they are, or intended to be: black metal, with some other inspirations here and there.
The title "Trones skal rives" is from the song Taaken fra fjellet (The mist from the mountain) which is a song about generations passing on, new generations coming in and the battle between generations (or maybe points of view).
Enough talk. It'll be out by the end of May.
Thank you all for listening, commenting and writing to me. It means a lot to connect with more or less like-minded people around the world. Thank you.

I've been expecting this release for a long while. This duo has been a bit all over the place, releasing spontaneous and half-finished demos and sketches and have searched for their perfect spot, and I think this album is it. They did it. Dark. Pensive. Raw sound. And completely, insanely desperate, horrifying vocals (Hoest/Burzum style). Check out the album 'Ånesott' by Hengestaur.

11 years, 11 months and 11 days ago the album 'Noregs vaapen' by Taake was released. To me, in many ways, the best black metal release ever, period. Hypnotic, dreamy, melancholic, dirty, organic, and mysterious. I've attempted to interpret the most hypnotic of all the songs on the album, 'Fra vadested til vaandesmed'. watch video on watch page

24 years, 7 months and 24 days ago, Taake released the album 'Nattestid ser porten vid', and like so many of Taake's compositions this piece of music is filled with intricate, melancholic and beautiful details that to many get hidden behind the walls of distorted and grainy metallic guitars and desperate vocals. This is an attempt to interpret the 7th part of the album, 'Nattestid ser porten vid VII', with only nylon string guitars, some simple percussion and docile vocals. watch video on watch page
