if I didn’t write, I wouldn’t be here
if my daily journaling practice didn’t exist, I wouldn’t function at all
2023 was rough as f*ck and insanely beautiful at the same time, it was a mix of everything. one day, I wanted to disappear, another day I was falling in love against all odds
my journal knows it all. all of my dreams, my darkest fears and my (sometimes daily) anxieties. this is where I accept all of myself fully, observe what’s going on in my head without judgment and start formulating new beliefs about myself.
this is also the only place where I will let myself be fully transparent about how I’m feeling about anything. nobody will read this, so I might as well write the truth before I decide how much of it is needed for the world, and how much I can save for myself, others, or my future artistic projects
when I think back, I always had a diary or a journal. a little girl in me still needs a safe space whenever she’s too excited or scared or lost.
I’ve realized that thanks to journaling every day, I haven’t gone fully insane yet. this world today is mad and it likes to squeeze every last drop of energy and hope out of a person. in my journal, I come back to my essence when I’m about to start believing the untrue stories people project onto me or the old programming from childhood that still bangs on my conscious mind’s door repeatedly
my journal knows how much I can take because it takes it all from me. all of my worries and burdens, dreams and memories I want to cherish forever - they are all there. emotions flowing through my words, collected together in a way only a syntactician could
when emotional pain exceeds resources for the pain, it’s like a plastic bag that breaks because it’s carrying too much.
we are all plastic bags from time to time, and we don’t have to reach the point of breaking.
venting to someone you trust and asking for help with carrying the bags is an option to get out of any state, if we allow ourselves to do it.
and when asking seems for too much (please, always consider asking for help), the journal is there.
pages ready to be filled with sadness, anger, helplessness, love, gratitude, fear.

I love catching up with friends, especially if they’ve been doing their own thing for some time, and every time I’d reach out they’d heart my message but not reply until one day they call me and ask “are you free tonight? let’s hang out, I’ll tell you what’s been going on. it’s wild, dude. see you there”

4 years of video content production has taught me this:
👉🏻 every piece of content is a chance to show your essence
your energy is EVERYTHING
the energy in which you create is also everything
and we need your energy, now.
in all of its forms, in all states.
make it yours, even if it means not creating something that doesn’t feel right.
even if it’s popular.
especially then!
don’t create social media content just for the sake of it, or follow the path that everyone else is taking.
find your voice. be unique. create intuitively. experiment with everything.
we sometimes think everything we create SHOULD be a certain way. more professional, more laid-back, more educated, funnier, more serious...
but all you SHOULD do is reconnect with yourself and your vision daily, be the most authentic expression of you, and course-correct as you go.
and create soulful content for you and your humans.
(all of that goes with a MASSIVE disclaimer that if you decide to go down the road of creating soulful art, you are going to experience the most intense identity shifts if your entire life)
if you want to express yourself more fully on social media - your writing, photography, strategy, video production - you need to start by opening and showing your heart more.

In 2011, at 16 years old, I wrote a letter to my future self. Originally, I had planned to open it after 10 years but I didn't know if I would last that long.
But I did.
I would like to share this letter with you and reflect on it for a while.
I hope that you enjoy this time with me at 26 and me at 16.

Patrz nad czym teraz pracuję!
Tworzę treści dla @bigfestivalowski który odbędzie się (na pewno się odbędzie) 18-20 sierpnia w Płocku i jestem podjarana na maksa!
Sama zgłosiłam się do nich, widząc jaką mają energię, że to festiwal miękkich treści i pozytywnej sztuki - totalnie dla mnie, totalnie ja. Przyjęli mnie w szlafrokach z szeroko otwartymi ramionami. I tak zostałam tiktokerką, przy okazji doświadczam kolejnych kawałków świata filmowego i festiwalowego.
To, gdzie dotarłam w ciągu roku, w ciągu kilku miesięcy od przeprowadzki do Warszawy jest dla mnie teraz trudne do ogarnięcia, ale uczę się, że naprawdę mogę spełniać te największe marzenia.
A Wy spełnijcie swoje marzenie o super wyjeździe na wakacje i przyjedźcie do Płocka! Będziemy mogli na siebie wpaść, a przy okazji spędzicie niesamowity czas na najbardziej wychillowanym festiwalu w Polsce.

Look at what I'm working on right now!
I'm creating content for Big Festivalowski, which will take place on August 18-20 in Płock, Poland, and I'm super excited!
I actually reached out to them after seeing their energy and realizing it's a festival of soft content and positive art - totally my vibe, totally me. They welcomed me in robes with open arms. And that's how I became a TikToker, while also experiencing more areas of the film and festival worlds.
How far I've come in a year, in just a few months since moving to Warsaw, is a bit hard for me to grasp right now, but I'm learning that I can truly fulfill my biggest dreams.
And you, fulfill your dream of a fantastic vacation and come to Płock! We'll have a chance to meet, and you'll also have an amazing time at the chillest festival in Poland.
