Kind of just an update and not that important, but I thought some folks would find this relatively interesting. First, I want to say thanks for all the kind words and support recently from various people, it has been fun to make some videos surrounding my personal fishing adventures despite the videos hardly being consistent. I work a job where I am in the backcountry for extended periods of time, and it has seldom allowed me to respond to people's kind comments in a timely manner. But despite this, I greatly appreciate them and they mean a bunch.

The job I work revolves around exploring Idaho's anadromous watersheds and documenting fish densities in incredible environments that I likely would not have explored otherwise. This has really allowed me to gain a greater appreciation for the amazing journey salmonids and other anadromous species make that utilize the Columbia River system. The fact these fish can swim well over 1,000 miles round trip not even including the time spent in the ocean feeding is simply incredible. And while I have personally known this for a while, it has been magnificent seeing the far reaches of these natal streams in person and garnering a greater grasp on the true miracle it is that these fish can even return at all. With that being said, I am very excited by the steelhead numbers passing over Bonneville Dam so far, and while they are hardly where we want to be and are still extremely low in the grand scheme of things, they are surpassing the grim pre-season forecast so far. I am hoping the numbers continue to rise for the sake of our wild fish and to hopefully provide a little brighter future for our fisheries. Now we will just have to see if the B-runs follow suit... All in all, this is just a long-winded excuse for me to share some photos and videos from some of these journeys with you all. I hope you enjoy seeing the farthest reaches some of Idaho's most incredible creatures inhabit. Somewhere close to Montana...
