In our new video https://youtu.be/8pjkUFHW5d8 I tackle this worn out, old rocking chair. It had a few bad repairs to it over the years. To repair it properly I had to patch in a new piece of wood and replace many broken dowels. The seat was previously hand-woven cane. Laurie had a professional caner give us a quote so the customer could decide if they wanted it cane or upholstered... watch the video so see what happened. Enjoy!

WORKSHOP TIP! Have you ever had to dig out finishing or brad nails in wood? It's frustrating because it's hard to get a grip on them. https://youtu.be/WFNMH_HFQRc In this video, I show several ways to pull out these stubborn nails. Do you have a tool you like to use? What is it?

If you're new to our channel, here's a video you've likely missed. This is about how to repair wobbly chairs https://youtu.be/dKqIVWTpIiA The fundamentals of furniture repair start with learning how to reglue a chair. Back in 2019 when this was filmed, my tool cabinet was literally on the drawing board - see the clip board. I also had less grey in my beard 😂 Enjoy!
