This channel presents videos produced within the EU Horizon 2020 Project RESTORE - Renewable Energy based seasonal Storage Technology in Order to Raise Economic and environmental sustainability of DHC.
The main objective of the RESTORE project is to develop a solution, based on the combination of two key innovative technologies, namely a thermochemical energy storage (TCES) combined with a reversible Organic Rankine Cycle (rORC), allowing for integrating a wide variety of Renewable Energy Sources (RES) in District Heating and Cooling (DHC) networks. RESTORE provides efficient and innovative solutions for the decarbonisation of the heating and cooling needs, hence paving the way towards the renewable-driven DHC transition and having a direct environmental impact on GHG emission, air pollutants and fossil fuel reduction.
The RESTORE project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No. 101036766.
