I was given the incredible opportunity to visit the YouTube headquarters. There is a real push by YouTube to have reliable information from established licensed healthcare professionals on the platform. This vision amongst other new YouTube features was discussed at the meeting and I am so excited to be part of this process from the beginning. This event also gave me the opportunity to network with many amazing Health content creators in the space.
I came away from the meeting with so many new ideas. Some of which will include creating information videos for patients which will be sitting alongside my junior doctor education videos.
Thanks for your support. As always, I'm loving your comments and engagement on my videos and I'm looking forward to creating some more useful content for you in the future!

Who am I?
I'm Dr Derek Adu-Sarkodie. I'm a GP and I'm incredibly passionate about medical education. I hold roles as a GP educator on the training programme and also lead a region in the North West as the clinical lead for workforce and education. I have also obtained post graduate qualifications in medical education.
Teaching is my passion and I feel strongly about creating free and accessible educational resources.
