I tend to go dark on social media around the holidays. I do this on purpose. I set my phone down somewhere and forget about it because I want to be present and enjoy the day with my family.
But I wanted to wish you all a Merry Christmas. I pray that your holidays were joyful and full of blessings ❤️ That you got to enjoy your family, make new memories and/or enjoy the old ones 🥰
Jesus, thank you for coming. For leaving the comforts of heaven to live a life here with us for a time. To experience all the things we go through, to know the trials, tribulations and temptations we come up against but not fall pray to. Thank you for leading/living/loving by example so we have footsteps to follow in when we are lost. Thank you for the blessing of your life and the freedom in your death. The gifts you have given us are far more than we could ever repay, and so I humbly thank you this Christmas, for the gift of you. ❤️

I honestly, never thought I would get to this place. Today I reached 1000 subscribers! 😱
I started my channel two years ago with the hope of encouraging others to homestead in their backyards, regardless of how much or how little space they had. To grow where they’re planted.
I wanted the channel to be successful and reach anyone who would find it helpful or encouraging, but I also knew it could be a long shot. That it might not work out like I was hoping it would. But I decided to stick it out and give it my very best, regardless of how it turned out.
And here I am, two years later with 1000 people saying “Hey! I like what you’re doing!” I’m truly blown away!
I wanted to take a moment and say thank you to each one of you who blew my expectations out of the water and have encouraged me to keep encouraging you! I love what I do, and I’m happy to share what I learn with all of you. So, if you are one of the 1000, thank you for making the last two years an amazing journey! I’m excited for the many seasons to come!
I also what to thank my Heavenly Father, who gave me the nudge to do what I could, with what I had, right where I was and to share it with all of you. Thank you Lord for growing me right where I’m planted and blessing me with opportunities to serve others and help them grow too. Bless the following season as I continue to follow where you lead. Amen!

Hey everyone! I know I’ve been MIA for a few weeks. Life just got really busy and I took a break for a while. My family comes first, my mental health comes first and sometimes you just gotta prioritize the important things and take a break from others. Hey everyone, I'm Nadine! Welcome! Here at Farm Girl In Progress, I share all of the progress I'm making on my little 2/3rds of an acre homestead in southwest Pennsylvania.
