Hi all, got myself a new helm (Ollie Junior) so we can sail the nationals next month in my Javelin. Pretty excited to say the least- we’ve just had our first shakedown sail and went well. Ollie and I haven’t sailed much together although he is one of my students. We race each other a lot in lasers so it’s very exciting to be back in the same boat and going for a an event together. You may see a few updates😁⛵️p.s more videos to come, some mooring videos and part 2 of the North Sea crossing. All the best.

Hey all, we are returning from our annual trip to Harwich for a beer festival and favourite pub. The weather is never on our side on this trip. Previously we’ve had 30 knots on the nose. Yesterday we had no wind so motored 35Nm to get there. Well worth it and fortunately we have enough wind today sailing back, although not quite able to make our harbour so a bit of tacking involved. We were blessed with an amazing sunrise- All good fun. ⛵️

Hi every one, I hope you are all getting out on the water as much as possible. I’ve been working hard on this North Sea crossing video, almost there but I can’t decide if I should spilt it into 2 x 15 minute episodes or 1x 30 minute. Let me know what you think. Keep an eye out for the upload- cold, wet, tired and hungry, wind farms, shipping lanes and 30 knots of wind. Can’t wait to share this trip with you all. All the best- Ollie.

Well, we made the 180Nm round trip to Belgium for the big festival. Aboard my 20 foot trailer sailer Elise. The passage there saw fog, becalmed, rain and 28 knots on the beam. We dodged wind farms, crossed shipping lanes, pilot stations and we were so wet and tired we could barely stay awake! The festival itself was just amazing, and the return trip was very pleasant with 20 plus knots broad reach as we chased the sunset back to the east coast of England. It’s gonna take me a while to get a video together but I think I got some great shots and can’t wait to share it with you. Happy sailing all.
Ollie,
Well and truly boated out!😁⛵️

So thank you for adding value to my channel and helping to expand on some topics. I’ve also got a 70Nm frostbite adventure planned for pre Christmas which is gonna be a super cold one! Small boat- Big adventure
Elise is my 1984 20 foot trailer sailer (Copland Harrier 20) I bought before lockdown.
Sailing has been my lifelong hobby. I find my self in all different kinds of boats. I’m passionate about helping others on the water. My passion and desire for sailing is ever growing and so is my ambition and taste for bigger adventure.
July 2022 A friend and I sailed Elise across the North Sea and back, it was awesome. With more east coast of England cruising, more North Sea crossings and a round Britain trip on my hit-list, please consider subscribing to my channel and come along for the ride. I’ll also be sharing some “how to” videos.
Thank you to all my subscribers for watching, liking and commenting. Your comments are valuable as they help to raise points and expand on topics which I can then try and cover. So please comment wether it’s sharing wisdom, raising points, or simply to let me know if you enjoyed the video.
⛵️Fair winds and following seas! Ollie.⛵️
