Happiness is not something you find. It's something you create.

It is an accumulation of joyful moments that we create for ourselves.

For example, I may sound crazy for waking up at 3am. But having a morning routine where I have time to meditate, journal, and exercise, are little key moments that make me feel energised and happy for the rest of the day.

We all have the opportunity to feel more happiness and fulfillment in our lives, by intentionally creating little moments of joy.

As 2023 is approaching, I challenge you to create a Joy list. Think of things that you can do next year to bring you more joy.

"To be joyful is a principle. It doesn’t change with emotions. Joy is an inner contentment despite all the circumstances." Richard Daly, God’s Little Book of Joy

When I introduced Gratitude practice in the household, my kids found it challenging when I asked them "What are you grateful for?"

So I changed the question to "What was the best part about your day today?"

This question helps them evaluate their whole day and identify the things that they enjoyed. They can grasp the idea of gratitude better, and I've seen them change from being negative to being positive.

I only learned about gratitude when I was about 27 years old, it had such a profound impact on my life that I wanted to make sure my kids grow up with a grateful mindset.

“Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.” – Melody Beattie

Now it's your turn, what was the best part about your day today? 😉

It's ok to work hard for our financial freedom BUT it's not ok to neglect other aspects of our lives.

I believe that we need to balance everything otherwise we will get to the end of the road and regret that we neglected ourselves or our relationships.

One of the daily bonding activities I do with my husband is to carve out 30 mins to have coffee with him in the morning. Between 6am-6:30am, we take turns making a coffee together and have a chat, check in on each other, and nurture our relationship because NOTHING BEATS LOVE.

Having a solid loving relationship can profoundly impact our business. Feeling supported, at peace, and in love can give us the strength and resilience we need to work hard in our business each day.

I was only 9 years old when my parents and I moved from Vietnam to Australia. We came to Australia in 1992 with nothing. My parents went straight to work by creating a home-based business manufacturing clothes. They would work all day from 8am until midnight in their factory (aka garage)

They were determined to build a great life for their family so they even forced me to work from the age of 10. I basically became their employee and worked for them after school and on weekends. Our home-based business operated 16 hrs a day, seven days a week.

Although my childhood was traumatic for me, I realised that they were able to instill in me the qualities of hard work and discipline. I was trained to hustle and grind. These are the important qualities I needed to build my own company.

Sometimes we wish things could be different for us in the past, but often we miss the lessons we learned from it.

My tough childhood has made me who I am and because of that, I appreciate my family more.

What part of your past are you grateful for?
