Since the start of this year, you might have noticed a shift in the type of content on this channel. Initially, this channel focused primarily on Python, but my long-term vision has always been to expand to a broader range of computer science topics. I didn't want to hit a content wall and end up repeating the same Python subjects. There's only so much you can cover about Python before it gets repetitive.

So, at the beginning of the year, I decided to widen the scope, getting into broader computer science topics while still including some Python for demonstrations to keep things interesting for my audience. Now that we're halfway through the year, I wanted to get your feedback on this change. I've only been able to produce four videos since January, which isn't a lot to base a judgment on, but creating this new type of content takes more time. That’s because I have to find a topic worth dedicating 1-2 months of my spare time to, then fully immerse myself in learning and understanding it enough to teach it. After that, I plan the video layout, write the script, record the voice-over, animate, and edit—all while holding down a separate full-time job. I aim to ensure each video is of the highest quality I can produce (I am hardly a professional). Unfortunately, YouTube seems to penalize creators for taking too long between posts. It’s difficult to juggle high quality with at least moderate quantity. I’ve always valued quality, but is the quality high enough?

So, I’m asking for your feedback on the channel since the beginning of the year. Please share your thoughts and critiques in the comments. Have the new topics been interesting? Are they explained well enough? Do you miss more Python-focused content? How is the video quality? Any suggested topics? Your feedback is greatly appreciated!

HAPPY NEW YEAR! 🎉

2023 has truly been a remarkable year for us! We began with around 50K subscribers and have grown to an astounding 184K - that's almost 2.5 times the size of the largest NFL stadium! This incredible growth is all thanks to you. I'm deeply grateful for every one of the 184,000 who have joined and enjoyed our community. Your support and engagement have made this journey surreal and so rewarding.

As we embark on this NEW YEAR, it's a fresh opportunity for all of us to set and chase new goals, face exciting challenges, and celebrate upcoming victories. I'm thrilled to share that I've got big plans for us this year! One of my goals is to expand our b001 family to at least 400K by December 31, 2024. It's ambitious, but I believe that with our collective hard work and dedication, we can achieve it! I encourage you all to stay committed to your own goals this year. Let's work hard and make our dreams a reality.

I'd love to hear about your New Year's resolutions in the comments. Let's inspire each other with our aspirations. As for me, my personal resolution is to quit caffeine. Here's to a year of health, success, and growth for all of us!

It takes you 4 hours to paint a room. It takes your friend 6 hours to paint the same room. How long would it take you if you worked together?
