Not sure if any of you remember this band. I actually had forgotten about them, thanks to a Spotify recommendation I revisited this album and felt like covering this track.
If Iām not mistaken, I first discovered them back in a compilation CD the 90s.

Hereās another favorite Jawbreaker song from āDear Youā.
It was fun to learn this one and re-record the guitar parts. Blakeās guitar tone on this record is super buzzy and gnarly.
I wanted to do something similar and throw in a Rat or fuzz pedal to get close but ended up just going all Marshall so I think it just sounds more āpolishedā. A different take for sure.
Iām having fun being able to remove the original guitars and adding my own, it definitely changes the vibe a little bit of the originals but makes it fun to re-record and add my own flavor to these classic songs.

I love this song and this record. There are tons of memorable riffs sprinkled all over this album and the intro riff of this song is perfect.
Anyway, here is my take on this awesome track, I tried my best to capture all of Jacksonās fills but there might be a couple of things I missed. I also wanted to record with my Tele since it hasnāt gotten any love lately and I love this guitar.

I've created this channel to pay homage to some of my favorite punk rock bands and songs from the 90's. I do my best to capture the original recording guitar tones of the songs I cover by using a combination of different amps, guitars and pedals.
