I used to learn songs I wanted to learn / that were my favorite.
Then I started to learn what other people wanted me to learn.
Then sometime after that I wanted to learn everything. Basically treating songs as " projects ", and not music. If the song had 4 chords only I'd give it a chance. If the melody is easy or if the song is popular then I would force myself to do it.
Now after months of not transcribing, I'm back to learning my favorite songs, which means less views and money. But I never did this for that anyway.
Sure, I could hire a bunch of people to learn stuff and pump out videos everyday of every artist in the universe but that was never my goal. Every video I've ever made was made / learned / transcribed / written by my 2 hands and I'm proud of that.
Not saying I won't sellout and learn some popular songs too just for the sake of it, but I'm just proud to genuinely go back to my roots again.
1) Right now I'm updating all of the sheet music I've created with better forms ( verse, chorus ) and chords.
2) I'll upload it all to the facebook album ( individual songs )
3) I'll upload a YouTube video that says " *insert artist name here* free sheet music " , so it's easier to find
4) When you click on the video, I'll pin a comment with links to every song I've made of that artist which will lead you to the facebook album
