Liebe MoonSunners, (english version below)
ja wir leben noch! 🤗 Wie viele von euch allerdings bereits bemerkt haben, ist es seit längerem ungewohnt ruhig um uns. Wir möchten euch hier kurz erläutern wie es dazu gekommen ist:
Durch Corona mussten wir unser Leben von einem Tag auf den anderen komplett umkrempeln, da bei uns alle Auftritte, auch die finanziell überlebenswichtigen privaten Veranstaltungen, weggefallen sind. Verbunden mit Existenzängsten mussten wir uns schnellstmöglich was einfallen lassen, um diese Zeit irgendwie zu überbrücken. So hatten wir unseren Mathematik-YouTube-Kanal "MathemaTrick" nochmal zurück ins Leben gerufen, der uns durch seeeehr viel Arbeit, Schweiß und Tränen dann auch finanziell gerettet hat. Wir haben wirklich jede Sekunde unserer Zeit in den Kanal gesteckt und an Musik war zu diesem Zeitpunkt leider überhaupt nicht mehr zu denken. Wenn man allerdings so lange musikalisch pausiert, ist es wirklich sehr schwierig nochmal den Weg zurück zur Musik zu finden.
Hinzu kommt leider noch, dass Susanne schon seit längerem mit psychischen Problemen zu kämpfen hat, was es nochmal schwieriger macht zur Musik zurückzukehren. Da die letzte Zeit extrem nervenaufreibend war und Susanne jetzt all ihre Kraft in ihre mentale Gesundheit und in MathemaTrick steckt, werden wir mit MoonSun auch weiterhin erstmal pausieren. 🙁
Wir wünschen euch allen das Beste und sind euch unendlich dankbar, dass ihr den Weg mit uns bis hierher gegangen seid. Lasst uns hoffen, dass wir MoonSun schnellstmöglich wieder aufleben lassen können! ❤️
Musikalisch untätig bleiben 50% von uns aber nicht, denn Thomas hat ganz frisch sein neues Solo-Projekt „Octopulse“ ins Leben gerufen. Die Reise dort beginnt am 21.07. mit der ersten Single „How long can I take it?“. Falls ihr gespannt seid was euch da so erwartet, folgt ihm gerne, es lohnt sich!

Dear MoonSunners,
yes we are still alive! 🤗 However, as many of you may have noticed, it has been unusually quiet around us for some time now. We would like to briefly explain how it came to this:
Due to the pandemic, we had to change our life completely from one day to the other, because all gigs, including the financially crucial private events, were cancelled. Faced with existential fears, we had to come up with something as quickly as possible to somehow overcome this hard times. So we revived our mathematics YouTube channel "MathemaTrick", which saved us financially, but required a lot of work, sweat and tears. We really put every second of our time into the channel and unfortunately music was no longer a possibility at that time. However, if you take a break from your musical activities for such a long time, it becomes incredibly difficult to find your way back to music again.
Additionally, Susanne has been struggling with mental health issues for a while, which makes it even more challenging to return to music again. Since the recent period has been extremely nerve-wracking and Susanne is now focusing on her mental well-being and MathemaTrick, we have to pause MoonSun for longer. 🙁
We wish you all the best and are infinitely grateful that you have been with us on this journey so far. Let's hope we can revive MoonSun as soon as possible! ❤️
However, 50% of us will not remain musically inactive, as Thomas has recently launched his new solo project "Octopulse." The journey begins on July 21st with the first single, "How long can I take it?". If you're curious about Thomas' project, feel free to follow him.

MoonSun is a Symphonic Power Metal band from Germany. Susanne Scherer and Thomas Kolbin started their music channel in 2012 with acoustic covers of metal songs by bands like Nightwish and Rammstein. In 2013 they published their first album with original music, which was inspired by these acoustic versions. In 2018 they changed their musical style to heavier music and played a European support tour with Van Canto.
