Double yolks 🥚
These are usually produced by young chickens as their bodies figuring out how to properly lay eggs. They are perfectly safe to enjoy and neat to see!

We cook about one of our whole #chickens every week! Here’s why 👇🏼
⠀
• It’s a simple and nutrient dense meal we can cook in the slow cooker and go on about our day. Add some vegetables, potatoes, rice, ect and you have a whole meal ready at the end of the day.
• One #chicken makes more than one meals worth of chicken! I will plan out another meal in the week to use the leftover chicken in.
• We are able to use the “scraps”/carcass for bone broth.
• It saves us money. We raise our own meat, however if you were to go to the store it is cheaper to buy a whole chicken than breasts or any separated out meat. This is because time is money, it takes extra time to separate out the meat in the butchering process.
• They are just delicious!
