Full catalog on Spotify / Apple Music in about a week.
D4 Bad.
I have an announcement: I'll be taking an indefinite hiatus after the upload for Friday, June 7. I'll still post songs but on a much more spaced-out basis. I plan on uploading the full catalog to Spotify / Apple Music after June 7.
Some context: Surprisingly or maybe unsurprisingly, making a half-decent song with Suno or Udio takes a couple hours. After 2 months of straight daily uploads, I find that I have the same passion to create more tracks but:
1. The number of truly unique genres is dwindling quickly.
2. The quality of the music and vocals generated is recognizably similar.
3. I'm beating a very dead horse (not that it isn't deserved).
Because I'm primarily exploring subgenres now to avoid repeating genres, there are a lot of repeated elements in the lyrics, rhythm, vocals, and musicality. Additionally, Suno seems to have something like 10 unique voices that I seem to recognize more often from track to track which adds a layer of blandness as the catalog grows larger. I want to avoid uploading samey-sounding music day-to-day, and I think taking a step back will help.
I'm proud of the catalog so far, and I think some tracks are slept on because bangers are released daily; it doesn't give any time for songs to sink in before the next one is there. It's been a fun time to create, share, and laugh about these tracks for the past couple months. I'm hoping to enjoy the summer and wait for major updates to AI or Blizzard/D4 news to keep things fresh, so please continue to anticipate new releases every once in a while.
