Hi, this channel is to promote learning art efficiently with science and math. If you desire to learn art but don't know how to get started, or already tried but failed, or you are a tech (left-brain) person with zero art talent/experience, then this channel is for you!
"[+SM]Art - adding Science and Math into Art" is a slogan/symbol created by Dr. Wei Xu, an artist, mathematician, and computer scientist. Dr. Xu invented an innovative scientific "Angle-Based Constructive (ABC) method", making drawing much easier by using angle controls. His ground-breaking theory and ABC method are described in his text book "Drawing in the Digital Age" (Wiley 2012) and its Chinese version 《善用左脑学素描》(China 2014). Dr. Xu has been an art panelist at world-famous Comic Con International for 11 years (2012-2022). He obtained his doctoral degree from The University of Texas at Austin in Math and Computer Science. He was teaching art at multiple universities in both USA and China for the past decade.
