MIAMI VICE first aired on this day 40 years ago! Despite a slow start, it managed to become one of the most popular and influential TV shows of the 80s. Check out my Miami Vice documentary I released last year, in case you missed it!

This isn't the end, but you can see it from here... I posted a public update about the state of my channel on Patreon (since Community Posts can't go very long or have image embeds).

NEW VIDEO! The rise and fall of Interplay, Black Isle Studios, and the cancellation of would-be masterpieces like Baldur's Gate III: The Black Hound and of course, Fallout 3 (aka Van Buren). This took a ton of effort to put together, I'd appreciate it if you took a look. YouTube recommendations haven't been generous lately.

About 75% done editing "Fallout Was Sold, Not Saved." Should be out in the next week or two. In the meantime, check out fellow gaming documentary creator @LuckStat's fantastic new video unearthing the cancelled Baldur's Gate III: The Black Hound (one of Black Isle Studios' final projects).

A Fallout-related video is a few weeks away! In the meantime, I was invited again to @Patrician's podcast, LARP, along with @Jwlar, @saltyshrimppasta, @Zhakaron, and @PrivateSessions. The topic of the day: Wayward Realms, Daggerfall, Bethesda games and RPGs. Good chat!

This channel recently turned 8! I started Indigo Gaming on a whim one evening in May 2016, and it's been a crazy ride since! What was the first video of mine that you remember watching?

If you're looking for a spicy critique of the new Amazon Fallout show, look no further than Fallout: A World on Fire by @MauLerYT. He recently tapped me and several others to help with his 2.5hr full-spoilers massacre of the show. I helped fill in some of the gaps about lore and edited a small segment of it.

ICYMI: I released a retrospective/opinion piece on Alan Wake a couple days ago. It explores the original open-world survival horror premise, as shown in trailers and interviews as far back as 2005, and contrasts that to its 2010 launch. I think it's a fascinating topic, as a "what could have been" scenario. I'd love to hear what you think of it!

Insightful game analysis, reviews and documentaries with an emphasis on the cultural context, and their impact on the industry. No politics.
