Been sick for about two weeks now. Voice is slowly getting better but I still sound awful. Will resume production when I’m back to normal,

Hey everyone! Apologies for the lack of anything new recently - I have two large projects on the go at the moment, and working full time seriously slows down the creation process.

I can however tell you what exactly it is I’m working on so that you can look forward to them:

The first is “the case of Charles Dexter ward” by HP Lovecraft, which will likely end up being a recording around 5 hours long, and as such will take a while.

Secondly I’m working on something I’ve wanted to do for a while, which is a Sherlock Holmes story, “a scandal in Bohemia” which will feature Pete from ‪@iReadBooks‬ as a guest voice actor. Should this go well, I’m hoping to make Sherlock Holmes a regularly featured playlist on the channel!

Going forward, a big focus will be on Sherlock Holmes and the very long Lovecraft stories, and in addition to Pete, will also feature ‪@thepoeshowpodcast‬ and ‪@Gothicstorytelling‬ as voice actors.

If in the absence of my videos you’d like some things to listen to, I heavily recommend all three of the channels linked above, as they all have great voices and produce great content of their own.

Hey everyone! First of all, thank you so much for the huge interest in the Somerset Maugham stories over the past little bit, blows me away to see more than a thousand views on a video!

I have some medical things going on at the moment that are making me extremely tired pretty much all the time (don’t worry, I’m fine, and this will be a topic of a later livestream), so you haven’t been seeing a great deal of recordings recently, but I plan on this changing that as soon as I have my energy back.

In a follow up to the last poll / community post - the channel is now at the point it can monetize, which, based on the split vote I held in the last poll, I’ve decided to implement, but on a reduced scale.

You’ll now be able to become a sponsor of this channel for $5 Canadian per month - however, there will be no exclusive content or control for sponsors, this is purely a way to show your support for the continuation of this free audiobook library, and to help pay for my audio editing software and licensing for the logo and website (which I own the domain for but haven’t done anything with - yet!). All money contributed to the channel will support exactly that, the channel, and nothing more.

All sponsors will get their names on the videos, but everyone will continue to have access to the audiobooks for free, at the same time, and with no exclusive content locked behind paywalls - classics should be free and accessible to everyone!

Hey everyone! As the channel approaches 500 subscribers I’ll be now offered the ability by YouTube to sell channel memberships. I can’t really think of anything particular I want to sell (and don’t worry, I believe strongly in free literature so I’ll never lock an audiobook behind a paywall).
