Case Study
Mariaās Cold hand and shoulder pain

Patient Presentation
Maria 64-year-old female, presented with a year-long history of right-hand Coldness and numbness at her palm and wrist area, sometimes the discomfort radiating up to her elbow. The patientās right shoulder pain from the clavicle area towards the back of the shoulder above the scapula spine. Maria rated the pain level at the shoulder as 8 out of 10, with the most troublesome symptom being the coldness and numbness of her hand, especially at the palm site. Despite seeing her doctor, undergoing physical therapy, and taking strong doses of Tylenol and Aleve, the coldness and numbness of the hand persist 24/7.

Initial Results
After the acupuncture treatment, the patient experienced warmth in her hand and the numbness greatly reduced. She kept repeating "I can open my hand!" Maria woke up from the treatment feeling relaxed and free from the discomfort in her hand that she had been experiencing for a long time. She was so impressed with the results that she forgot how good she felt after the treatment and realized that she needed to return for more treatments.
