🌿 Celebrating the Harela Festival in Rudraprayag, Uttarakhand! 🌿
Harela, meaning "Day of Green," is a cherished festival for the agricultural communities in Uttarakhand. It marks the beginning of the sowing season and is a prayer for a bountiful harvest and prosperity. Harela also heralds the arrival of Sawan (Monsoon), a time of deep devotion and emotion.
To commemorate this auspicious occasion, elders gathered to plant trees symbolising prosperity, traditional seed conservation, and a commitment to nurture a healthy environment.🌱💚
