Theatron Artis was founded last Sept 30, 2011 as the theater organization for teachers and students who are equally theater enthusiasts. It aims to promote Philippine theater and culture that is rooted from the ancient history of man. From the Greek word “Theatron “which means theatre and “Artis “which means arts, its name was conceptualized by Rev. Fr, Marlou Abel Rama and its founding adviser Dr. Marilou Mendoza - Tierra.
This org is unique among other org for it unites individuals with different areas of specialization. It maintains the highest standards in artistic discipline, technical skill and professional conduct. It also provides trainings/ workshops to both teachers and students in acting, directing, playwriting and production management. It further renders service to community through outreach programs.
