Te versus Ti Poll Analysis: More Ti than Te users? 🤔

Thanks for responding to my previous poll about Te/Ti usage. We got more Ti votes (46%) than Te (35%). Here are the full results:

- Te (35%)
- Ti (46%)
- I have developed both Te and Ti to a high degree (7%),
- Unsure (12%)

I've been thinking about why we got more Ti votes than Te. It could be:

(1) Ti users are more likely to respond to the survey than the Te users. For example, maybe xxTP's are more likely than xxTJ's to respond.

(2) We really do have more Ti users watching.

(3) It could be that more Te users voted for the third option, "I have developed both Te and Ti to a high degree," which got 7% of the votes. If we combine the two categories of "Te" and "developed both Te/Ti" we have: 35% + 7% = 42%, which would statistically be be on par with the 46% Ti votes. This might have happened because: non Ti doms, like INTJ's who use Te second on the function stack, are likely to develop a more balanced use of both Te and Ti, while using their dominant Ni. On the other hand, Ti doms, like INTPs, are more likely to always prefer their dominant Ti function, rather than develop Te to a very high degree.

As a final caveat, we would think that the effect of point (3) above would be symmetric; the Ti and Te doms would balance each other. For example, a Te dom like ENTJ, isn't likely to report that they developed Ti to an equal or very high degree, just like the Ti dom INTP isn't likely to report that they developed Te to an equal degree as Ti. So, if we were polling from a truly representative sample of the population, we wouldn't expect to see asymmetry in the responses to the option "I developed both Te/Ti". However, perhaps in this sample (of about 600 people) we don't have a representative sample of the population. We may have more INTPs and INTJs, rather than their extroverted ENTx counterparts, and so most INTPs would vote for the Ti option, while a larger amount of INTJ's voted for the 3rd option.
