Now that my year end storm chasing flick SKYDRAMA 2023 has been released, I’ll be spending the winter archiving LOTS of old storm chasing videos from my boxes of tapes in the basement. Look for plenty of old chase days from the 2000s over the next few months!

I will once again be claiming the Wednesday before Thanksgiving as SKYDRAMA day, and will be premiering my annual storm chasing highlights flick. Currently thinking an 8 PM CT Wednesday live premiere for the ~ 2 hour runtime thunderstorm smut film.

7 years ago - the strongest tornado I’ve ever chased through my home county. This EF-2 tornado destroyed a home and damaged several others as it passed through southern portions of Champaign County, near the towns of Sidney and Homer on September 9th, 2016 - relive the day here!

I documented this dramatic severe storm as it exited the St. Louis metro and moved over the town of Marine, Illinois this afternoon. I can’t wait to share a little video with you all when I get home!

My name is Andrew Pritchard, and I’m a meteorologist and storm chaser, born and raised in the American Midwest. My focus professionally is high-impact, disruptive weather, and my passion is being there to document it first hand. I bought my first video camera at age 15 with money I saved up from working a paper route and began filming storms in my garage. A couple of decades later I'm basically doing the same thing, only now I can drive myself to the storms instead of waiting for them to come to me. Thanks for following along as I try to tell the story of the storm.
