Tom Gurin is an American composer, carillonneur, and multimedia artist working in France and Switzerland. He is currently pursuing a master's degree in mixed and multimedia music composition at the Haute école de musique de Genève. He was previously a resident artist at the Cité internationale des arts in Paris from 2023-24 and, before that, was supported by a Mortimer Hays Traveling Fellowship from Brandeis University from 2022-23. He was the recipient of a Fulbright-Harriet Hale Woolley Award at the United States Foundation in Paris from 2021-22. He is a Fellow of the Belgian-American Educational Foundation (boat 2019).
Originally from Philadelphia, Gurin served as Duke University Chapel Carillonneur until summer 2021. He holds an artist diploma with great distinction from the Royal Carillon School in Belgium. He graduated from Yale with honors in music in 2018.
