It’s with great pleasure that I announce the launching of my new brand: benjamintay.me ‪@bennyt_actual‬ to cover my fan projects and also the new Direct & Develop Creative Studios ‪@directanddevelopCS‬ ; my own fledgling company.

Now Direct & Dominate: Absolute Units won’t be going away, quite the contrary, it will still be worked on and countless tales will still be told.

This is merely a ‘rebranding’ of sorts to clarify what project I’m working on and their legality.

For example, Direct & Dominate: Absolute Units ‪@DirectandDominate‬ and Notable Misadventures in Space ‪@NotableMisadventures‬ will be clearly understood to be fan animation projects done in my name.

In other words, nothing’s really changed except now we have an official clarification.

This is also helpful to viewers who are mainly interested in only one of the two projects and benjamintay.me can act as a hub to find content related to either of those two projects.

I will also be launching a free store, for fans of the shows to have access to nice models and perks for supporters.

Next year there will also be a paid store for the new IPs being developed, new VR development streams and more!

In the future, there may be even more projects made under ‪@directanddevelopCS‬ including two Unreal Engine games set in new IP universes with some serious hardware upgrades to support them.

Earthquake Tier being Nerfed from today! (and some series updates)

It's a lie, all of it, D&D will never slaughter Patron perks.



Or will we?


Unfortunately, it's true. It is with great sadness that I announce that I'll have to discontinue the perk in Earthquake which grants the subscriber their own Absolute Unit.


Below you may find the updated terms to being an Earthquake-tier supporter of the Direct & Dominate Absolute Units fan animation project. This applies to both Patreon and Ko-fi.

As mentioned above, the increased workload in production of the series and IRL-stuff has caused this perk of the Earthquake tier to be ignored for far too long. I'm sure it appears very unprofessional to keep promising something that keeps getting indefinitely delayed.


As a result of this, I have decided to remove the perk from the tier moving forwards.



For subscribers prior to the date of 2024-10-10, please rest assured that your Custom Unit 'tokens' (referred to as CUs moving forward) have been recorded and any CUs owed will be delivered within 2025.


An amount of time will be dedicated to be purely focusing on completing the CUs and clear any debt I have towards all the fine and generous patrons who have contributed over the years.


It has been an exhausting past few weeks due to big changes coming to my life and as a result, also the Direct & Dominate Absolute Units fan animation project.


An official announcement will come soon detailing what it means for the project.


Rest assured that the series will still continue and the quality is (in my opinion) constantly improving as I gain more skills and levelling up to further invest into the series.


There are still countless tales to tell and I can't wait for everyone to enjoy what we're cooking up.

Had a close call today. We almost lost all control of the Direct & Dominate Absolute Units channel and all services related to the account.

All recovery options were changed/removed/deleted so I wasn't able to use my own phone to recover my own account. Google as usual aren't helpful and they don't offer a way to recover your account when all of your security features have been automatically been disabled by the attacker.

Keep a backup of your backup codes on hand, people. 2fa, phone numbers, recovery emails, authentication apps all don't work if they've all been mass removed from your account.

Somehow my backup codes were compromised and that's how the attackers gained control of my account.
