A journey through the Forests of the World.
As a forester I am fascinated by what forests and landscapes provide the world. In 2018 I travelled from the UK to Japan 18,000 miles by motorcycle through the fruit forests of Kyrgyzstan, the vast expanse of Siberia, the isolated but important forests for Mongolia and the forestry of Japan. The forests of Eurasia provide some of the most common fruit and nuts we now regularly eat and are home to the largest forests on Earth.
The videos will provide insight into their importance for local people, their uses, history, and threats faced by climate change.
