Traffic congestion was witnessed on the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway due to the single-lane road stretch and slippery road conditions at Dalwass near the Chenani-Nashri tunnel. “Hundreds of Light Motor Vehicles (LMVs) and heavy vehicles crossed the Nashri-Banihal sector for their respective destinations in Srinagar and Jammu today. Traffic movement remained slow due to the narrow carriageway at the mud and landslide-affected Dalwass area of Nashri near the Chenani-Nashri tunnel due to single lane road stretch and slippery road conditions,” officials said.
