Today is April 13, 2023. Today marks 3 years since the severe weather event of my first EAS compilation on my channel (Northwest TORFest from 4/13/20). This also marks one day before 2 severe weather events in one week sparked my interest in the hobby. On 4/14/19 there was a Tornado Watch in effect for our area which later got upgraded to a warning just after 1 PM. On 4/19/19, same story and a warning was issued before school just after 5 AM. From then on, I started tracking the weather and learning more about NOAA Weather Radio. At that time, I was 16 and in 10th grade.
During the past 4 years I have been collecting radios, recording videos and uploading them to this channel. On March 23, 2020, the kickoff of GeauxPJ Life Safety began. I made a video announcing that I would start posting all EAS captures recorded, since all ones recorded before then were private because they showed off too much of my house.
I have grown my collection to include around 20 radios, however I have 10 still out on display. I am now 20, and in college. I now have about 375 subscribers, just over 700 videos and just over 100,000 views (just now noticing that!). Thank you to everyone who has supported the channel. It's cliche but true: this would not have been possible without all of you!
This post does not suggest I am leaving Youtube or anything. Just figured I would make it to show appreciation to all of you and also to show how far we've come as a team!

The Times They Are A-Changin'...
Starting to be a bit more low-key on the radios for now. The majority of my collection has been put away in the boxes seen on the top row. I will still be posting EAS videos when I get them, just minus the chaos and focusing on what really matters. I really want to try and start getting back into fire safety, which had my interest before EAS. System tests will not be a thing for now since I have no place to put up a system in this house. There's also no room for a mini system. For now the dual Fire/Alert strobe will have to do I suppose...? Hopefully I'll start doing more with the fire portion of that whole setup. I installed an exit sign yesterday so expect that video to come out in a couple days.
