Adam Lempel is a Brooklyn based musician and photographer. Lempel's work includes elements of performance art, including the playing of nontraditional instruments, improvising with strangers, and incorporating dance into the music making process.
In Baltimore, Lempel started an experimental indie rock band, Weekends, with Brendan Sullivan which toured internationally opening for many acts including Future Islands, Beach House and R. Stevie Moore.
In 2014, Lempel moved to Amsterdam, NL to study classical music composition at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. While there, he worked with choreographers at the SNDO program at the Amsterdam University of the Arts and completed a masters degree in music design at the Utrecht University of the Arts (HKU).
Lempel now lives in Brooklyn, New York where he makes music as a solo performer and for contemporary dance based on contact improvisation.
