For decades it has been falsely alleged that JOAN CRAWFORD and MARILYN MONROE had a sexual relationship; or that Crawford made an unwanted "sexual pass" towards Monroe.
There is no absolutely NO proof of either allegation.
In commemoration of the 60th anniversary of Monroe's death on August 4th, 1962, THREE new debunking pages involving Monroe have been added to the website:
1) A page debunking the abovementioned sexual allegation;
2) A page debunking the alleged "feud" between Crawford and Monroe, and;
3) A Page debunking Crawford's alleged bisexuality.

JOAN CRAWFORD with her daughter, Christina, and friend, MGM publicist Dore Freeman.
This photo was taken upon Joan's arrival at Los Angeles International airport. Christina and Freeman were at the airport to greet Joan. (February 3rd, 1971)
This may well be one of the very last photos of Joan with Christina. Christina had moved from New York to Los Angeles in 1970, and had initially taken up residence at Joan's West Hollywood apartment.
After this visit by Joan to Los Angeles, they never saw one another again.

"Berserk" completed principal photography on November 28th, 1966. The final scene filmed was to be the final scene shown in the film, with the surviving characters outside the circus' big top tent.
In describing the filming of the final scene, Joan said in a letter "...on the coldest night of the year - with frost, six fire hoses on us and in mud and rain."

NEWLY UPLOADED to the website is the episode's entire shooting script, which includes some scenes with alternate dialogue.
Also included in this week's update are letters to Joan from members of the episode's cast and crew describing their experience of working with Joan on this project. Celebrating International Womenâs Day. No woman better fits the criteria of celebrating women and their achievements than JOAN CRAWFORD.
Joanâs achievements in entertainment, charity, motherhood and business are often, wrongly, overlooked by the general public.
She achieved the heights of female stardom when womenâs films were the popular choice among film-goers, and she held A-list stardom for five decades of her life â highly rare in the world of entertainment; by yesteryearâs standards and todayâs.
For decades, Joan was a generous donor to various charities; devoting her time, energy, name and money to help others across America and around the world.
Through adoption, Joan achieved motherhood on three occasions as a single woman; a nearly unheard-of achievement for a woman. Joanâs two daughters, Cathy and Cindy, categorically applauded Joanâs dedication to them as a working, single mother. On many occasions from the 1950s-1972, her other daughter, Christina, publicly applauded Joan as a mother; Stating in 1959, âShe used to tell us, âif you donât learn discipline at home, youâll get it in life, and life can be awfully cruel.â She taught me the importance of promptness, of hard work, of cooperation with others and there is no place for hysterics and temperament. We came up on tender and loving care.â
Joan was also an astute business woman, both in the entertainment industry and corporate world. Many times she sought out her own film properties, purchasing and co-producing the projects herself when needed, and never allowing any entity to control her destiny as a person, or as an actress.
In the corporate world, Joan broke ground in 1959 in her role as a female executive for Pepsi-Cola (a Fortune 500 company), when she was appointed as a board member. An appointment she held for 14 years. During which time, she remained deeply involved in all facets of the company, learning every detail about the product, and consistently using her earned status and household name to mass sell the product as the companyâs spokesperson.
Joan achieved all of this as a woman with a self-confessed sixth grade education. Three years before her death in 1977, Joan told an interviewer, âIâve been liberated all my life. I grew up liberating myself, training myself, taught myself everything, and learned the hard way.â
In what must have been frightening and unfamiliar concepts for Joan, are now everyday achievements by women; and that is thanks to women like Joan Crawford, who broke these barriers. Her achievements are monumental, and far beyond that of simply "an actress."
