The problem with current society is everything is measured on the basis of high value which has nothing to do with actual values but money. High monetary value in relationships means you are buying love and being surprised why you don’t have a moral person. Moral beings don’t sell themselves. People without values look for a handout, shortcut, cheap routes to luxury, materialism, comfort. You are going to find a shallow, lazy, highly selfish human being who is going to walk all over you when they don’t get what they want.

As long as you are human, you will always feel the compelling urge to follow certain desires that will take you down to a dark place.

True human strength is to be able to say no despite how strong the pull.

Desires aren't going anywhere, however, you can choose to move away from them.

Pick 2 things. Then as a challenge, devote yourself for the sake of sheer anime-like fun to destroy and become a master in those. What else is there to life, really, in a purpose-seeking way? You have to have something, some fucking thing at all times that give you meaning, drive, and direction. If you don't, you are a lost sonovabitch, and then enters the devil in your mind.

How to improve communication skills?

READ as much as you can. Good writing, not just the easy stuff. Start reading the movie, tv, and book reviews from The New Yorker magazine, Atlantic, and others. Improve your understanding of the language, expand vocabulary, and bring it to application by thinking entirely in English (or the language in which you wish to improve). DO this to a point where you are able to think and construct complex thoughts very easily. Do this as much as you can in your mind and on pages.
AND then, that will start to show in your speech over time too.
Nothing is easy, motherlover.

Failures = you losing, taking the punches to the mouth, eyes, chin, jaw, head.

Take them.

The day you have absolutely no fear of taking those punches is the day you are gonna be completely focused on annihilating your enemy.

How to achieve wisdom:
1. Reading.

Less self help books, more literature, biographies, history, science, etc.
Why? Focus on accumulating as varied unique perspectives on things as you can. Perspectives can emerge as metaphors from science, art, history, you never know. So, consume insane amounts of knowledge by understanding that knowledge is the weights of mentally working out.
Mentally works out = gains wisdom
2. Self-knowledge.

The more you get to know yourself accurately, the more you understand what it is that you actually want, what you don't want, how terrible you can be to others, how horrible you can be to yourself, how you self-destruct, your weaknesses, and how to contain those weaknesses.
3. Critical thinking.

These are the tools by which you build realistic practical systems for yourself: Systems of productivity, problem solving, self-control, self-regulation, decision making, and getting rid of biases, prejudices, and moronic fallacies. Critical thinking makes you a strategist toward whichever f**king goal you place for yourself.

Money will not give you contentment?

Earning money will take you halfway there -- it is a very hard battle after all. However contentment is NOT on sale anywhere, so naturally money can't buy it. It is something you create by will, wisdom, and life decisions.
What money does is:
1) Reduces the worldly stressors and worries, creates a calm environment and the freedom to develop wisdom.
2) Achievements unlock self-belief and self-efficacy which later become high motivators toward the pursuit of inner-peace. For ex: you wouldn't believe inner peace is possible for you if you hate yourself or think of yourself as a loser.

Helping people is beautiful and evolutionarily rewarding because you are actually earning people. However, don't fall into the tendency of ignoring to solve your own problems by focusing on problems of others. That's self destructive behavior.

Learn to sit without your stupid phone.
This is not an extension of yours. Whoever convinced you of that lied to you. However, if you cannot separate yourself from your phone, you are an extension of your phone. You exist merely to serve this device. And its algorithm is far smarter than you, so alive or not, you lose in intelligence.

First, become a leader in your own mind. You have to believe in yourself that you are fit and deserve to lead. That happens only by proving to yourself that you can be trusted. Trust is built by not breaking your own promises.
Get the tasks done. Don't betray yourself. Keep building yourself. And slowly you will start relying on yourself more and more. You will start seeing in yourself what you see in capable others.
Capability/performance is the quality you need to grow. Just go through the plan. Don't doubt the plan. See the results and your mind will notice the confidence build up.
