Story time 🌟
This one’s a little personal, so gonna be long.
Most people wouldn’t guess this, but I used to have crippling stage fright. Growing up an an underconfident kid, I would do anything to avoid the spotlight.
Once in school, the student meant to participate in an elocution competition fell sick — and I was pushed in as a last-minute replacement. I remember standing on stage, frozen, blank, a hall full of eyes staring at me. That moment? still haunts me till this day.
So when I was invited to be a panel speaker at a food summit, my first instinct was to say no. Actually, I said “maybe” — to myself — ten times over.
But something in me wanted to test how far I’ve come and challenge myself by putting myself in an uncomfortable situation.
And you know what?
It went so much better than I imagined. Being on stage, speaking to some of the brightest minds in the food world — industry leaders, investors — it didn’t just feel good… it felt powerful. The adrenaline, the rush, the joy — unmatched.
So a big thank you to everyone, who came up to me and congratulated me after the panel. Those words were very precious to me and the 12 year-old Khintu too! 💛
