Making music is often incredibly thankless.
You tell someone, “I make music” – and most of the time, they just say, “Oh, cool.”
No real interest. No follow-up questions. Just on to the next topic.

Most people have no idea what it actually takes to write or remix a song:
How much time, patience, and effort is behind it.
That it takes years just to understand the craft.
Years before you can create something that sounds even remotely professional.

What they don’t see:
• The countless hours spent in front of a screen or an instrument.
• The moments when you feel like giving up.
• The doubt when you compare yourself to others.
• The songs no one will ever hear because they’re “not good enough.”
• The frustration when nobody reacts – even though you poured your soul into it.
• The constant self-criticism – louder than any outside voice.
• The investments in software, plugins, gear – that never seem to “pay off” financially.
• The late nights tweaking a sound no one else will even notice.
• And sometimes, the hardest part: Even your own friends and family don’t seem to care.
No support, no feedback – just silence.

Music isn’t just a track on Spotify, Youtube or a beat on Instagram and TikTok.
It’s part of who you are.
It’s what’s left when everything else goes quiet.

And even when it feels like no one cares –
You keep going.
Because you have to.
Because you love it.

Music making isn’t a hobby.
It’s a feeling,
It’s happiness.
