Our school provided an excellent opportunity for our teaching staff to attend a workshop on learning assessment and test construction, which was conducted by the team of professionals from Learning Inspire at Feza Boys premises. Dr. Christian Bwaya, the Director of Programmes and Training, led the training.
The workshop focused on crucial areas, including the principles of competency-based test item construction, classroom assessment for students' skills, subject-specific test item construction, and subject-specific coaching on test item construction, basing on Cognitive, Affective, and Psychomotor Domains.
We appreciate the school administration for recognizing the importance of such training and providing this opportunity to our staff to improve the teaching and learning process in our classrooms.

It's fantastic to learn that our school fosters a culture that nurtures students' talents and inner strength of reasoning and delivering views and thoughts. Hosting and conducting an Open Debate Competition with the participation of four neighboring schools in the Mbweni Ward, namely, Boko Secondary School, Mbweni Secondary School, Boko Mtambani Secondary School, and Bunju "A" Secondary School is commendable.
These competitions provide excellent opportunities for students to showcase their critical thinking, public speaking, and leadership skills. Participating in such events can help students develop their abilities to articulate their ideas clearly, construct persuasive arguments, and engage in constructive dialogue, which will benefit them both academically and personally in their future endeavors.
It's also noteworthy that our school is hosting a mentorship program alongside the debate competition, providing students with guidance, support, and encouragement from experienced individuals who can help them navigate the challenges of school and life. Such programs can help students build their confidence, improve their academic performance, and prepare them for their future careers.
It's encouraging to see schools taking proactive measures to help students develop their full potential.
Kudos to the schools' administration, the English Department, and the Shamsiye School Club Coordinator for organizing such an event that will help students showcase their abilities and further their personal growth.
